Serta Singapore Website Redesign: From Legacy WordPress to Modern Next.js

After years of running on a neglected WordPress site built by an agency in 2017, Serta Singapore is excited to announce the launch of our brand new website! Our goal was to create a faster, more secure, and more flexible platform to better serve our customers and share valuable content.

Why We Rebuilt

Our previous website had become slow, difficult to update, and was holding back our ability to share new promotions, sleep science articles, and company news. As shown in the Google PageSpeed Insights report, our old site scored poorly on mobile performance:

• Performance Score: 56/100
• First Contentful Paint: 2.4s
• Largest Contentful Paint: 17.6s
• Speed Index: 9.9s

These numbers meant our visitors were waiting too long for pages to load, especially on mobile devices.

Our New Tech Stack

We rebuilt the site from the ground up using:

• Next.js for blazing-fast server-side rendering and static site generation
• Tailwind CSS for a modern, responsive, and maintainable design system
• Markdown-based content for easy, version-controlled blog posts and updates

This new stack allows us to:

• Publish long-form content about sleep science, promotions, and company insights
• Achieve much better performance and SEO scores
• Easily scale and add new features as our business grows
